Getting More with Less: Online Conference

Navigating Big Society and the changing public arena

Following the Efficiency Exchange's online conference Getting More with Less, Local Government Channel brings together key speakers Ceri Jones, Head of Policy and Research at the Social Enterprise Coalition, Sharon Cuff, Head of Procurement Lincolnshire and Roger Britton, Head of Organisational Development for Worcestershire County Council to discuss key issues surrounding the Efficiency Agenda.

Among the main challenges facing those trying to make sense of the cuts: finding new and smarter ways to procure goods and services, different methods of working and forming alternative partnerships.

Getting More for Less was hosted by the Efficiency Exchange and involved speakers from across the public and private sectors including Nick Hurd MP, Minister for Civil Society; Paul Kirby, KPMG; Ian Trenholm, CEO of RBWM; Dr Bernd Vogel, Henley Business School; Toby Blume, Urban Forum CEO; Peter Tonks, Peterborough City Council; Dr Andrew Larner, IESE and Rob Whiteman, MD LG Group.

Nearly 1,000 people attended the 5 day conference to share their views and knowledge on issues affecting local service provision.
