Sue Cleaver
Youth Support Officer
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service
Sue has helped develop programmes ensuring the Fire Service was addressing the local and national government objectives for youth issues. This demanding work involves Sue playing a key role in initiatives to assist neighbourhood regeneration in deprived areas. Sue also introduced Fire Cadets on Fire Stations in the area, who are a uniformed youth training group for 13 -18 year olds run by volunteers. Sue was determined to give the Cadets the chance of a recognised qualification for their efforts and 300 young people are now benefiting from this work.
