Living with Dementia
Sam Hughes meets Barbara Pointon who nursed her husband through Alzheimer's
Barbara and Malcolm Pointon were the subject of numerous television documentaries on dementia, and after suffering from the disease for 16 years, last year Malcolm Pointon lost his battle against Alzheimer’s. His wife has spoken extensively about her experiences and why she wants the Health and Social Care sectors to support the new Dementia Strategy. Our reporter Sam Hughes met up with her at the National Children and Adult Services Conference to find out more.
