Gordon Price - Winner 2007!!
Refuse Collector
Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council
Gordon is in his 50th year of service having joined Market Bosworth Rural District Council (as it was then) as a HGV driver. Now a sprightly 75 year old, he serves the rural communities in the outlying villages, collecting refuse from the little-known farms and isolated cottages that don't appear on maps, using the knowledge born from his years of experience as a refuse collector. Despite his advancing years, Gordon has no plans to retire yet, news that delights many friends and colleagues whom he meets on his rounds.
