Braintree Community Investment Project - Putting People at Heart of the Community
Essex County Council
Essex County Council worked in partnership with Braintree District Council and BBC Radio 5 Live to encourage local people and groups to come up with ideas for a community based project to spend a £50,000 Community Investment grant. The winning project was decided in a postal ballot. More local people voted in this ballot than in the local elections - demonstrating how important the Quality of Life Agenda is to the electorate.
