LGA's monthly Strategy meeting focuses on the Recession

The Local Government Association's Strategy and Finance Performance Review Group held its monthly meeting on January 15th 2009. The meeting was to discuss the economic downturn and the key role of councils in helping local communities and businesses weather the immediate impacts of recession and prepare for the upturn. Local Government Channel Reporter Sam Hughes brings us the highlights of the three guest speakers; David Frost - Director General of the British Chamber of Commerce, David Harker - Chief Executive of the Citizens Advice Bureau and Hannah Brown - Research Manager at Centre for Cities.
