Former chair of Carers UK on the neccessity of innovation
The Otherside Gallery helps artists who are in some way excluded from society such as people who use mental health services or those with physical disabilities and in 2008 the gallery was recognised for its innovative work. We meet artist Gina Bold, to whom the gallery has been a lifeline since suffering a breakdown 6 years ago. Also our reporter Sam Hughes has been speaking to Baroness Pitkeathley, the former chair of Carers UK, to find out why innovation in social care is so vital.
