Frontline staff leading the way

With tightening public finances, pressure to keep council tax down and increasing demands on services, councils are recognising that innovation is key to improving how they work and what they can offer. Local Government Channel reporter Sam Hughes visits the recent LGA/IDeA Innovation Conference and talks to two of the participants, Joan Munro from the Improvement and Development Agency and Sharon Wilkins, LB of Lewisham about innovation on the frontline.
