Western Australian LGA's Wayne Scheggia

Deputy CEO of the Western Australian Local Government Association, Wayne Scheggia talks to the Local Government Channel about the Global Financial Crisis and its impact on local authorities in Australia. He explains how even though Australia's economy was better positioned to face the crisis after a decade of surplus, an immediate stimulus package was launched based around capital projects and discusses the need for having strategic business plans in place well in advance.

Wayne Scheggia will be sharing his experiences on the Efficiency Exchange in a special 'warmseat', Lessons From Australia on Deficit Recovery on 22-23rd November.
