Local Government Challenge Hosts Announced

The LGA Group, in partnership with the Local Government Channel, is looking for the next generation of top local government executives.
The Local Government Challenge, sponsored by Liberata and launched at the LGA Group Annual Conference 2009, is designed to give staff with the drive and determination to reach the top the opportunity to demonstrate their individual and team-working skills. Open to employees in the LGA’s member councils, contestants will undertake a series of challenges in a range of council services.
Over summer 2009, councils in England and Wales were invited to
submit proposals to host a challenge in their local area.
The final
five host areas chosen are:
- Coventry
- Waverley and Surrey (joint)
- Northampton
- Kent
- Essex
