Home Care Assistant - Adult Social Care, Flintshire County Council
Joyce Roberts is respected by managers, colleagues and those who she supports. She started with the Council in 1975 as a Home Help, traveling around villages on her moped, before becoming as a Home Care Assistant to support more vulnerable people to live at home. Joyce, 68, has been an inspiration to everyone in the team for her ability to achieve positive outcomes for the people she supports. She is a familiar face in many Flintshire villages and requests are made for her specifically by local families to the Home Care Service as people have confidence in her. She was nominated last year for a City and Guilds Medal of Excellence which recognises exceptional work.
