Joanna Kilburn
Housing Policy and Strategy Officer, Harrogate Borough Council
Jo joined Harrogate Borough Council as Housing Policy Officer in 2005, and has been nominated for her work on the 'Harrogate YouthBuild Project,' which provides construction skills training and affordable homes for vulnerable and disadvantaged 18 to 25 year olds. Behind a quiet and modest exterior Jo has worked tirelessly, and way beyond her formal duties, showing tremendous leadership in bringing together a range of agencies to deliver a complex multi-agency partnership that is making a real difference to the lives and future prospects of young people. Starting from scratch, Jo has shown exceptional drive, determination and personal commitment, which has been inspirational, not only to the trainees, but also to the other agencies and professionals involved in the project.
