Pat was a key figure when the floods hit Toll Bar in Summer 2007 and worked tirelessly in a variety of roles. Since then, Pat and his team have turned what was a response to an emergency into a pioneering engagement programme working closely with the local community to deliver highly successful activities and winning praise across all age groups. Pat's work and that of his team at Toll Bar has required them to demonstrate clear leadership, reassurance, determination, resilience and bravery. Pat's approach is one of caring and compassion, who works selflessly, patiently and tirelessly. He is a quiet and gentle man who seeks no glory for the work that he does, but the effect that he has makes a real and positive impact on people's lives.
