James Bayliss
Firefighter, Bedfordshire & Luton Fire and Rescue
James joined Bedfordshire and Luton Fire & Rescue Service in March 1993 and is currently serving as a Watch Commander at Harrold Retained Fire Station where he's worked since 1998. He is very well known amongst locals where he regularly carries out routine home fire safety checks and school community work. James has been chairman of Harrold Pre-School and Lower School's PTA and coached the Kwik-Cricket team to victory two years running. Children affectionately call him 'Fireman James'!! James also regularly raises money for Children in Need and the Fire Service Benevolent Fund by participating in row-a-thons, car washes, 3 Peaks Challenge and biking from John O Groats to Lands End - twice !!
